Take a Glock apart and it is two assemblies: a slide with about fifteen parts that strip, fire and eject the round, and a frame with about a dozen that hold the barrel, lock the slide and work the trigger. We file every part the same way, slide or frame, with the generation it fits and Glock's part number where there is one, alongside the barrels that join the two and the springs that wear out first. The guides walk each assembly part by part and put the wear parts on a round-count calendar.
